Some people are more prone to allergy then others.
Altered environment can be cause of irritation to some,
while others are victim to certain food items. This
irritation can be cured by some medication through some
commonly used medicines. One medicine is Allegra. Allegra
is an effective against allergies like itchy throat
or eyes, nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing and
watery eyes. Allegra is to be consumed by oral intake.
Allegra is usually advised to for 02 pills per day;
however, the physician can alter the amount according
to the patient. Any other form of food should not be
taken for the next 02 hours after every dose of Allegra
pill. Also while taking this capsule, it should be taken
care that the capsule is not chewed of broken, otherwise,
it will loose its effects.
Like most of the other medication drugs, this anti-allergic
capsule might also have some side effects. Hence it
should be consumed with care. First and most important
point to be kept in mind is that it should be taken
only as prescribed by the doctor. The dosage should
not be deviated from.
If a patient is already taking other anti-allergy
medicines, he should cautious before taking Allegra,
as this might interact with other medicines. Also, as
a general principle, if two medicines are being consumed,
there are chances that they might loose their expected
effectiveness. There are possibilities that other medicines
might be discontinued. The case is not with the medicines,
Allegra might even interfere other allergy test. In
this case, it would be Allegra that might be discontinued,
before going for any tests. This also should be consulted
with the doctor for clarity.
Allegra is might be causing sleepiness, drowsiness.
Hence, it is advised not to be involved in any activity
that requires complete or severe concentration, e.g.
driving. Due to the “alcoholic effect”,
it is advised to limit the alcohol intake when Allegra
is being consumed. Allegra is strictly not recommended
for pregnant women, as it may negatively affect the
fetus.
