Taking this medicine puts you at risk of heart attack or stroke. It greatly increases the risk of life threatening heart or circulation problems and keeps increasing as long as you are taking it. It is not recommended before or after a heart bypass surgery

Celebrex increases the danger of stomach and intestine problems including bleeding which might be life threatening and can occur at any time while the drug is being taken especially if the patient is old.
It is an emergency if you experience black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing contains blood or vomit looks like coffee grounds. Alcohol is not recommended while taking this drug as it increases the threat of bleeding from stomach .
Always ask your doctor before taking any other over the counter medicine that contains Ibuprofen, ketoprofen, or Naproxen and taking such medicine might increase the amount of these ingredients in your blood.
Contraindications:
Do not take Celebrex without consulting your doctor if you are allergic to any of the substance contained in this drug.

Not recommended in case of a history of stomach ulceration or stomach bleeds.

Follow the prescription by your doctor and don’t make dosage changes. It is better to take it on full stomach or with milk as it may decrease stomach upset. The capsule should be swallowed in whole and it is made for slow release purpose.
