Imitrex

Ingredients:

Imitrex is the medication for the treatment of migraines in headache. It is the drug for cluster headaches also for such types of headaches it is injected to relieve pains. These headaches are not for the longer period but these are very painful for the person suffering from it.

The amounts of pain treated by this drug depend on the age weight health conditions.
One should follow the instructions written on the drug if impossible then it is must to follow the doctor’s instructions. For better results and observation it is best to take the first dose of the rug then wait for the second and see the effects of first one, for better observation of effects one should wait for two hours. After the two hours if the position discussed it with the doctor will result in much better effects of the drug.

The normal dose of imitrex in a day is 200mg in 24 hours. It is also best to note the treatment of the number of headaches of this drug in a month that is if the drug is able to treat four headaches in a month.

Side effects:

When some one is taking the imitrex must note down the changes in the body. if the experience is not good for example if the patient is feeling squeeze in the chest and throat and pains must tell the doctor for dose changes. if the drug usage results in the stomach pains must consult the doctor and take his or her advice however there are some of the side effects of this drug given below:

• Swelling of parts of the face
• Skin rash
• Wheezing
• Heart throbbing
• Lumps
• Hives

• Unusually high body temperature
• Drowsiness
• Dizziness
• Tiredness
• Redness of the face
• Heaviness
• Pressure
• Sickness after using this medicine
  

Precautions:

If the patient is using the rugs for the birth controls must not to take the imitrex.if the woman is planning for the pregnancy or breast feeding it is also avoided to take this pill. Many doctors don’t refer this medication to mothers because of the reason that this medication may transfers to the child through milk and cause adverse effects.
If the patient is diabetic he or she needs extra attention because this drug may also interfere in the blood sugar level and is able to cause the dizziness.

If the patient is using the antidepressants and the MAO inhibitors must not to take the imitrex.if the patient has taken the drug in last 15 days then it is important to consult doctors and take their advice.

This dose should be taken at the exact timings if the person is the regular user of dosage he or she must take it by following the schedule. If the dose is missed one should not try to take it at the second drug timing. As it may cause the overdose problems. If the doe missed the patient should try to makeup for the dose if it is not possible then take the next dose forgetting the first one.
