There is another tablet which is named as TENUATE DOSPAN tablets whose main ingredients is distributed via a hydrophilic matrix. When the medicine is dissolved in water, it distributes uniformly and thus ensures a controlled release of the anorectic agent.
CHEMISTRY OF TENUATE The tablets cannot be used for long run and should be used for short time period. Effectiveness of tablets is loosed after few weeks. When this happens, a person should stop using the medicine and do not increase the dosage.

The TENUATE 75mg tablet is taken only once, i.e. at midday. If the dosage is missed that it should be taken as soon as it is remembered and if the time taken is not far from the next dose it should be skipped and the dosage should not be doubled.
